Our Website Design Philosophy

Growing up in the days when home computers had less memory than your average mobile phone taught us a thing or two about speed and efficiency. We take steps to make our websites fast and economical so that your potential customers are not kept waiting.

Every page we write is done step by step, one keypress at a time. You won't find any bloated drag-and-drop code in our websites, and any images are optimised to within an inch of their life. Pages are created to be modular with aspects being reused across the site to save both development and download time.

The Internet permits customers to find an alternative supplier with a few clicks of the mouse, and any website that is slow to respond or download is doomed to failure. That's why we keep our pages lean and mean - we've yet to find a design program that can match the brain of a good designer.

Similarly, we don't believe your website should sit on a server with dozens of others. Distortal Web Design has it's own server for it's own clients, should they require it, and it is monitored constantly to ensure there are no problems.
